May 2026 Newsletter 5 days ago0 min readwww.lucyrigby.co.ukMay 2026Dear all, I'm pleased to share with you my latest newsletter. May saw a number of events celebrated in Northampton. We started the month with VE Day, marking the sacrifice of those who gave us our freedoms, & saw the welcome return of the annual Headlands & Eastfields Community Festival. The town also came together for another great Eid celebration in Becket's Park - I wish a very happy & blessed Eid al-Adhr to everyone. It was a busy month of important constituency work too. I was privileged to welcome families who have lost loved ones to knife crime to Westminster to meet with the Crime & Policing Minister. I also sent my report on the roundtables I held on SEND education reform to the Secretary of State & was pleased to announce that the CCTV camera on Wathen Wigg Bridge will finally be replaced after nearly a year of lobbying the council. As always, my office is also here to help with any casework queries which residents have, so if there is anything you require assistance with then please do let me know. Best wishes, Lucy Rigby KC MP Member of Parliament for Northampton North
