This month saw the sad announcement that Deafconnect, a lifeline to deaf and hearing-impaired in Northamptonshire for over 150 years, is set to close. I have been working tirelessly with local councillors and stakeholders to ensure their vital support can continue and that our deaf community is not left without the provision they need.
