WHY I'M STANDING
The next election could not be more important.
After nearly 14 years in power, the Tories have crashed our economy, run our public services into the ground and lost people’s trust.
People here in Northampton are working harder but being paid less. Rents, mortgages and energy bills are sky high, and our NHS is in the worst crisis since its creation 75 years ago.
It doesn’t need to be this way. Labour under Keir Starmer has a plan to reboot our economy and revitalise our public services.
Growing up, my Mum worked for our NHS and my Dad served in the Army so I saw first hand the importance of public service: community, fairness, challenging inequality, hard work, offering security. These are the values that I was brought up with, and that I try to pass on to my own children.
